How Many Followers Do You Need To Get Paid On TikTok?

TikTok is one the fastest platforms to grow as a content creator. In the social media game, followers play the most important part to grow. On TikTok, do followers matter to make money? If yes, then how many followers are needed?

Don’t worry, we will answer all these questions (in detail) in this blog.

How many followers do you need to get paid on TikTok?

If you want to get paid on TikTok, you don’t need a massive number of followers. You don’t need to be a mega influencer. If you have a community of 1000 followers (who are real and not fake) with high engagement – a lot of brands will come to approach you to promote their products.

According to a report by Influencer Marketing Hub, a nano-influencer ( creator with 1000-10000 followers) can earn $10-$100 per sponsored post. A micro-influencer ( creator with 10000- 50000 followers) can earn $100 to $500 per post.

Brands will approach nano and micro-influencers because even though they have a small community of followers, they have a high rate of engagement with their followers. In fact, the market share of micro-influencers has grown from 89% in 2020 to 91% in 2021.

How to get more followers on TikTok?

Always remember, your long-term goal should be not just to get more followers but to build a strong and loyal community around yourself. So, here let’s look at ways to gain more followers.

Define Your Target Audience

If you want to grow your followers, it is very important to identify and define your target audience. TikTok has a variety of niches ranging from comedy, dance, music, cooking, education, etc. You need to select a niche that you are best at and analyze the audience which watches videos of your niche.

Once you understand your target audience, it will become easy for you to cater for them with content that they like to watch. Your aim should be to find the right followers who are loyal and engaged with your content.

Make use of trends to not only gain followers but also views. Create content around trends and give your unique touch to it to make it more engaging. You can do this by participating in a hashtag challenge, using trending music and dance moves.

You can improve your engagement rates through trends as a lot of users would be scrolling videos related to popular trends.

Use more Hashtags

Make use of trending hashtags as well as relevant hashtags of your niche to get discovered by a wider set of users. However, do not go overboard with hashtags. Use only 4-5 hashtags per TikTok video.

Research the hashtags that are relevant to your niche and combine them with trending hashtags to get the best results.

Cross-Promote Your Content

Post your TikTok videos as Instagram stories and YouTube shorts and promote them on different social media channels. It will help you to attract new users from other social media platforms. Cross-promoting is a great social media marketing technique, and it is used by all influencers as well as brands.

Analyze your target audience well and find out what other platforms they use to watch the type of content you produce. These days, Instagram reels are trending, similar to that of TikTok. Simply, to get started, post your TikTok videos with water as reels.

Interact With Other TikTok Creators

Collaborate with other content creators and TikTokers within your niche. Their audiences will be able to discover your content – it will help you get not only more views but also followers from your own niche.

TikTok has a duet feature; you can use that to collaborate with other creators. Do some trending challenges together. Collaborate with a creator who has a decent following and a good engagement rate.

People will see your compassionate side of yours and increase your credibility in their eyes. They will invite their friends and family to follow you and watch your content.

Use TikTok Promote

TikTok also provides content creators with an option to launch their own influencer campaign through the ‘Promote’ feature. If you use it, your videos will appear like TikTok ads in a user’s feed.

You would require TikTok coins to fund this campaign. Also, make sure that you set your campaign goal to ‘More Followers’. TikTok Promote is a great way through which not only you can get high viewership but also gain real followers

How can you monetize your content?

You can monetize your content in various ways like:
